Dr. T.K. Lawless Park – Overnight Camping

Lawless Park is probably the most popular camping site in Cass County. Lawless Park is an 820-acre nature park that is open year-round. There are over seven miles of groomed cross-country ski trails for all levels of skiers. We have 15 rustic campsites with fire rings. Our trails have lake views and some have scenic lookout points. In addition, there are biking and hiking trails, Disc Golf, a volleyball court, fishing, picnicking, horseshoe pits, and inner tube sledding in winter (tubes provided). Located 9 miles east of Cassopolis, off M-60 and Lewis Lake Road. Groups welcomed!

Arthur Dodd Memorial Park – Overnight Camping

Many improvements were added to Dodd Park during the summer of 2017. Upgrades included the installation of a new bridge over the stretch of the Dowagiac River running through the park grounds, new restrooms near the two new cabins, and a canoe/kayak launch. The department also plans to expand the park’s parking lot. The cabins have electricity and fire rings for campfires.

Camelot Campground & RV Park

Camelot Campground & RV Park is located on Lily Lake in Jones, Michigan. This campground has everything you’re looking for, whether you’re a first-time camper who likes the “comforts of home” or the avid camper who really likes to “rough it”! Camelot Campground offers daily, weekend, weekly, monthly, and seasonal rates for your convenience. The campground has two bathhouses, so there’s plenty of room for new campers.

Francoy’s Resort – Big Fish Lake, Marcellus, MI

Cottages

Our five cottages are on 562 feet of Big Fish Lake frontage interspersed with 3 Park Model RV’S. Big Fish Lake has a sandy shoreline, is over 400 acres, connects to other lakes, and offers great fishing. Each 2 bedroom cottage is remodeled, and has a rowboat out front, a picnic table, a park-style charcoal grill, gas range, refrigerator, and microwave. Two cottages (Sunrise and Sunset) are air-conditioned (seldom needed). Four (excluding Flanders Inn) have fireplaces and quaint knotty pine interiors. Each cottage sits on our sunny bluff about 15 steps up from the Lake. All the cottages are clean. Their small bathrooms include showers. The cottages are backed up by a large standby generator for Seasonal power outages. We are at the South end of (private) Fish Lake Drive (blacktop) on the East side of the Lake and 19 miles South of Paw Paw and 1-94. Every cottage has an area near the Lake for a Campfire. You can swim at your own risk but there is no Lifeguard. You must watch your children.

RV Sites

Some distance from the cottages (East and on lower ground) are 12 Seasonal RV Sites ($1,650- $1,800 each with 50 amp electric, sewer, new water service). Several are suitable for Park Models. Docks and swimming in front. Fish cleaning station. Help with the docks and you get a spot for your fishing boat (up to 16). Francoy’s Resort is at the South end of (private) Fish Lake Drive (blacktop) on the East side of the Lake and 19 miles South of Paw Paw and 1-94.

Goff Lake Campground

Beautiful Goff Lake Campground is a very peaceful place to relax and enjoy nature. It is situated on 3 no-wake lakes which are great for fishing, boating, kayaking, and swimming. The property has nature trails, horseshoe pits, and a playground. The sites are spacious, grassy sites. The shower house is very nice and clean. God has blessed us with a beautiful place and we hope everyone who comes will enjoy its peace and serenity. Come check us out, you won’t be disappointed. We are open from April 15 to October 15.

Hemlock Lake Campground

We have 77 sites, all with water and electricity on 60 acres. Other amenities include showers, boating, swimming, and fishing. We even have a Chapel for weddings to be rented. Open May to October each year. Our New 12 x 20 Camping cabin is located about 100 yards from the water. Hemlock Lake Campground opens the last Saturday in April and closes the first Sunday in October. Most of its campsites front on beautiful Hemlock Lake. The lake has a sandy bottom, is spring-fed, and is 100 feet deep. It is so clear and cold that we have trout as well as bass, bluegill, perch, and other species. There is a waiting list for lakefront campsites, which are only available by the season. Some couples have retained campsites for 15 and 20 years. The lakefront guests have their own private docks. Short-term guests can tie up a boat on either of our two big 60 ft docks and fish from them. We have a sandy swimming area all of us use. Short-term sites have picnic tables.

Lakeside Campground is located on Bair Lake in Jones, Michigan. Lakeside is a perfect family get-away. Shady Shores Resort

Housekeeping cottages, completely furnished and equipped. Pillows, blankets, and cooking and eating utensils are furnished. Towels and linens not furnished.
