Cass District Library
Cass District Library is the library system which services Calvin, Howard, Jefferson, LaGrange, Mason, Milton, Newberg, Ontwa, Penn, Pokagon, Porter and Volinia Townships in Cass County, Michigan. Currently, the Cass District Library has a total of five library branches. The Cass District Library has a staff of 19 people. It services a population of almost 37,000 people covering almost 500 square miles. The library is a community gathering place as they provide facilities for the public to use meeting rooms. All branches of this library system are participating members of the Michigan Electronic Library (mel.org) system. The Cass District Libraries are not just a resource for learning. The libraries offer events and activities for every age and interest. There are story times for children, family movie nights with snacks, and much more. The Cass District Libraries have reciprocal borrowing agreements with the Marcellus Wood Memorial Library and the Dowagiac District Library.
